Collecting medieval swords is a very engrossing, fun hobby, and there are usually swords that just about everyone can appreciate. Not only do you get to have a little piece of history hanging on your wall (or from your waist if you happen to attend Renaissance fairs), but you get the sense of holding a piece of history. Even though the replicas I buy weren’t ever actually used in combat by knights, Vikings, or Saracens, I still get a great sense of history from the swords. The size, weight, and look are all accurate.
